KIRK'S STORY
Kirk Hawkins was born in Worster, Massachusetts and raised on the eastside of Indianapolis, Indiana. His involvement in sports at an early age and a good inner circle of family and friends kept him away from what the crime-ridden streets of Indianapolis had to offer.
As a captain of the Varsity Track and Field team at Arlington High School, Kirk learned the skills of hard work, perseverance, discipline, and determination which have stuck with him through the years.
Kirk received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Central State University where he served as captain and lettered in track & field for four years. He has membership in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Detroit Chapter of National Sales Network (NSN), National Association of Sales Professionals (NASP), Detroit Chapter of National Black MBA Association, 3M Global Sales Connection, American Marketing Association and is the founder of The Make Difference Foundation, Inc. Kirk is currently pursuing his master’s degree in business administration.
A former All-American track athlete, Kirk has continued to serve his community well by volunteering and serving various committees such as Wheeler-Dowe Boys & Girls Club, March of Dimes Indiana, Big Brother Program, Mozel Sanders Thanksgiving Celebration and tutors students from the Indianapolis Public School System (IPS). Kirk is an author, motivational speaker and higher education expert. He is a sales professional for 3M Industrial & Transportation Business. Additionally, Kirk travels nationwide providing motivational and inspirational messages to various audiences. His goal is to inspire and encourage individuals to reach their full potential, regardless of life’s challenges and circumstances.
Kirk’s motto: “You can be M.A.D. or choose to Make a Difference”
